Sharing Knowledge
One primary object of Acting Together is ‘knowledge dissemination’ – getting the word out about the activities and research findings.
The project will use multiple ways to share knowledge with its stakeholders and the community at large, such as community reports, peer reviewed articles, and forums. We even plan to use art, theatre, and digital media to reach out to people in the community.
Local media will play a key role in helping Acting Together bring its findings to the community.
In addition to reporting, the media will help fight some of the stereotypes perpetuated about youth, culture and gangs in Surrey. Acting Together is taking a culturally sensitive approach and working with media to promote positive images and stories about local youth.
Look for media coverage that features our community partners, students and researchers. Keep up to date with events happening with Acting Together through our pressroom. In addition, Acting Together is working directly with its media partners to promote the voice of local youth. Find out more about our training and educational initiatives.
Media may request to be added to our mailing list to receive press releases, invitations or to discuss ideas for exclusives by contacting us.
